My equipment

You don't need a lot of fancy equipment to hand-build pottery. To make these pots I primarily used my hands, plus some common household items:
  • a card table covered with an old linen bedsheet:
    as a work area
  • some fishing line:
to cut off pieces of clay to use
  • a gas barbeque, leaves, molasses:
    to fire the bowl
  • coke can:
to roll up clay into a cylinder for the mug
  • a shishkebob skewer and a Bic pen:
to create stamps to make the coasters and mug
  • a rolling pin and a small knife:
roll out slabs of clay and cut shapes
  • However, I'm still in need of a kiln, as you can see from the number of unfired pots.
